Yueh Te Liu (劉悅德) graduated from Taipei National University of Arts (BA Fine Arts) in 2008 and Central Saint Martins College (MA Fine Arts) in 2010. Her career as a graphic designer began shortly after winning the Golden Melody Award for Best Album Design in 2011.

Her background in fine arts led Liu to develop her visual identity in graphic design by experimenting with artistic touches, such as making drawings and collages into expressive formations and prints. Throughout her self-taught career in graphic design, Liu specializes in music packaging, books, magazines, exhibition identity and performance art events’ visual design in Taiwan with her unrefined and uninhibited aesthetics.

Liu is renowned for her experimental radical style, she effortlessly blends her artistic experience into intuitive and distinctive works. As a graphic designer with a fine arts background, Liu introduces an irregular yet artistic quality to graphic design. Her works blur the boundaries between graphic design and fine art, removing established hierarchies, recognition, and meaning. This results in creations that are ambiguous yet profound, embodying an 'anti-design aesthetic'. This aligns with punk's 'anti-aesthetics', creating an alternative belief system for certain groups within local culture and contemporary society.

Liu fearlessly deconstructs mainstream graphic design models, transforming them into highly personalised expressions. She stands out with a novel approach that departs from academic design thinking and challenges traditional norms.
